Where are we?

We’re based in the UK – but we have proved that the virtual office is a reality.

Without the need for a costly central office, Interchange has developed a network of journalists and designers able to respond quickly and cost-effectively to the needs of editors and our corporate clients.

Everyone we work with is self-employed so they are as motivated as us to provide a first-class service.

But just so you know who you are likely to come across when you meet us, here we are:

CHRIS (CJ) WRIGHT – Once worked for Brenards Air News Agency at Heathrow Airport so hates not turning copy round at the speed of flight. Is a former Chairman of the UK Guild of Motoring Writers and is currently chairman of the Fleet Street Group of Motoring Writers. Chris was editorial director of Top Car and Fast Car magazines, editor of Automotive International and International Editor for the Detroit-based Automotive News Group before becoming a full-time director of Interchange. Still finds time to play golf occasionally while his latest project is learning to play an electric lead guitar!

ANTHONY (TONY) LEWIS – Career in regional daily newspapers culminated in being Night Editor of the Bristol-based Western Daily Press where he worked for 13 years. Left in 1987 to freelance, working variously as deputy editor of Diesel Car magazine and consultant editor at Automotive International. He completed 25 years as motoring editor of the Western Daily Press. During his early freelance career, Tony worked as an editorial consultant for British Aerospace’s Airbus division in Filton, adding speech writing to his portfolio; he was also freelance editor of the West Country lifestyle magazine, This Is Bristol & Bath. In the mid-1990s, he was appointed freelance editor of FT Automotive Components Analyst after which he too became a full-time director at Interchange. Tony is also a former chairman of the UK Guild of Motoring Writers. Would like to play more golf and get his handicap below 20 while honing his skills at the ancient pub sport of table skittles.

GILL WRIGHT – Company Secretary dealing with accounts and paying the bills. As Interchange has grown Gill has moved from part-time to full time, giving up her job as a learning and skills instructor dealing with epilepsy sufferers. Also has her own baby-product business and is qualified as a garden designer. Would really, really like more hours in the day, days in the week and weeks in the year.

CHRISTINE LEWIS – spent 30 years working as a reporter on morning, evening and weekly newspapers. What started out as helping out at Interchange occasionally developed into a full time role as our roving reporter. Would like to spend more time on the bowls greens.
